Role OverviewThe Low Voltage Wiring Technician installs, terminates, labels, tests, and troubleshoots low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure within an active hospital environment. This role supports critical clinical and facility systems and may assist with related electrical installation tasks while maintaining strict safety, infection-control, and patient-privacy requirements.
What You Will Do
Install, route, secure, and support low-voltage cabling; terminate and dress cables on patch panels, jacks, and device endpoints; install and service devices and pathways for hospital systems; perform testing and certification; troubleshoot faults and coordinate repairs.

Requirements
- High School diploma
- One or more years' experience installing and terminating low-voltage cabling/systems in commercial or healthcare settings
- One or more years' experience using test equipment (tone/probe, multimeter, cable certifier); ability to interpret results
- One or more years' experience with electrical concepts relevant to low-voltage systems (e.g., power supplies/transformers, grounding/bonding, circuit identification) and ability to work safely around electrical systems
- One or more years' experience reading basic construction drawings and following written installation standards and work orders
- One or more years' experience with applicable codes and requirements (e.g., NEC Article 725/800, firestopping, pathway/support rules) while also following hospital-specific standards
