Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides basic therapeutic nursing care according to established standards of practice under the direction and supervision of the RN. Provides care to those patients and caregivers whose care requirements are routine and standardized with predictable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Patient Care: Direct patient care is provided utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN at all times.
  • Patient Care: Prescribed medications, therapies and treatments are administered in accordance with practical nursing standards at all times.
  • Coordination of Care: Physicians, RNs and health care team members are effectively assisted with data collection, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient and families care to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Quality: Knowledge of unit-based quality improvement initiatives is demonstrated at all times.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties as assigned are completed.
