Role Overview

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Office of Diversity, and Industry Relations (ODIR) seeks a Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Outreach and Compliance Analyst to assist in establishing a sustainable strategy that will increase M/WBE utilization and foster agency relationship with the M/WBE community.

What You Will Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in establishing a sustainable strategy that will increase M/WBE utilization and foster agency relationship with the M/WBE community, serving as a single point of contact for interaction with all stakeholders, and identifying obstacles to M/WBE contracting.

The candidate will coordinate and attend networking and outreach events, maintain diverse supplier databases and relevant contract data elements, and work closely with Department of Small Business Services to advance M/WBE procurement policies.

Requirements

  • baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
  • at least one year of experience as described in "1" above
