Role OverviewResponsible for all activities associated with running the converting machines including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
What You Will Do
Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately, inspect dies, monitor box quality, and maximize equipment utilization.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Previous experience operating Flexo or other folder/glue machinery is desired, however, we will train.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desired
- Previous experience in a packaging environment preferred
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, product layouts and production specifications, product quality specifications, and quality standards
