Role OverviewElder Research Inc. seeks a motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Chantilly, VA. The role involves building and deploying AI agents to automate and optimize labor-intensive workflows, as well as empowering the human workforce to discover new capabilities. The team works on novel applied research and solutions development, with a focus on contract impact.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include building and deploying AI agents, creating software to support AI agent communication, and utilizing a combination of open-source models and proprietary commercial models. The engineer will also develop novel approaches to securing agentic workflows and evaluating results for accuracy, performance, and impact.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of generative AI models, including prompt engineering, chain-of-thought reasoning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. They will also have experience with developing agentic AI workflows/systems and proficiency in Python and SQL.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI polygraph
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with Javascript, Containerization (Docker/ Rocky Linux)
- Familiarity with developing & managing API endpoints (Rest and FastAPI)
- Experience with developing agentic AI workflows/systems
