Role Overview

In this job, you will set-up and operate one-two pieces of manufacturing machinery of moderate complexity. As a Machine Operator I, you will work in a manufacturing environment, set up and operate machinery, and maintain a safe and clean working environment. The job is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include setting up and operating machinery, disposing of hazardous chemicals properly, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, conserving resources, and contributing to a team effort by training others in machine operator tasks.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for someone who has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development, ideally with 6+ months of experience working in a manufacturing environment. You must be able to safely use small hand and power tools, read and interpret work instructions, and effectively communicate with a supervisor regarding manufacturing processes.
