Role Overview

The Manual Machine Operator is responsible for machining products to specifications, including v-saw, band saw, t-nut and base cap machines. This role involves setting up machines, verifying accuracy, and ensuring safety requirements are met.

What You Will Do

The Machine Operator will perform tasks such as setting up machines, inspecting parts, documenting information, and performing preventive maintenance. They will also be responsible for identifying nonconformities and following nonconforming product procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 weeks on the job training
  • Ability to read and comprehend required documents
  • Ability to accomplish required math
  • Ability to write legibly
  • Skilled in the use of air driven hand tools
  • Capable of setting up machine to specifications
  • Understands/follows proper lockout procedures
  • Skilled in CNC machine operation
  • Follow Safety and Quality procedures and guidelines
  • Able to comprehend required reading
  • Accomplish required math
  • Read a tape measure and caliper to 1/64" as well as metrics
  • Comprehend and follow job safety guidelines
  • Lift parts from floor to operation level frequently
  • Lift parts ranging from 0 to 50 pounds
  • Use required computer programs
  • Identify different wood species/laminate colors
  • Write legibly
  • Perform maintenance to machine
  • Use load moving devices
  • Identify non conformities
