Job Description
Machine Operator-Thermal/Plasma position at O'Neal Steel's Birmingham, AL facility, requiring setup and operation of thermal processing equipment, following safety guidelines, and providing high-quality work to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Following all safety guidelines and wearing all required personal protective equipment.
  • Set up and operate a variety of thermal processing equipment; plasma, laser, etc.
  • Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and following work instructions.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
  • Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract fractions and decimals.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
