Role OverviewAs part of a hardworking team of specialists, you will develop and modify NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines supporting various spaceflight systems.
What You Will Do
Create NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machines, and VTLs to meet engineering requirements, develop machining strategies, and provide DFM/DFMA feedback.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawful refugee/asylee, with proficiency in Siemens NX / Unigraphics and Vericut, and experience with tool/fixture design and custom cutter design.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Siemens NX / Unigraphics and Vericut (or equivalent verification software)
- 4+ years of NC programming experience
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994
- Experience with tool/fixture design, cutter selection, and custom cutter design
- Proficiency in calculating feeds and speeds
- Experience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys
- Familiarity with DFMA principles and standard precision hand tools
