Job Description
The Machine Setup Operator will perform various tasks related to machine setup, operation, and maintenance, including loading and unloading materials, deburring parts, and performing daily housekeeping and maintenance checks. They will also be responsible for setting up jobs, adjusting tool offsets, and documenting results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine operation and safety protocols, as well as basic computer skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Vocational Technical High School or Community College Advanced Manufacturing Certificate graduate preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present numerical data effectively and write routine correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to communicate with other employees of organization
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to apply concepts such as decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to interpret bar and line graphs
