Job Description
Machine Shop Manager oversees machine shops, plans, schedules, and manages production activities to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency. Collaborates with programmers, machinists, and craftsmen to create efficient programs and processes. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role within a Machine Shop or Die Shop environment
  • Experience with 3- & 4-axis CNC Mill & 2-axis Lathe set-up and programming (Haas & Okuma mills, Mazak lathe experience helpful)
  • Ability to read and comprehend product specifications, blueprints, drawings, models, operation sheets and part lists
  • Effective communication skills, including communication with customers, management and employees
  • Experience with CNC and conventional machine tools, including programming and operating CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centers
  • Advanced Blueprint Reading
  • LEAN conceptual training preferred
  • Aerospace experience preferred
