Job Description
The HVAC Production Engineer will help to resolve production and regulatory issues. They will interface with various parties, including production, planning, procurement, other engineering departments, design subcontractors, owner, classification society, and USCG to complete these activities. About 50% of the time will be in the field and 50% in the office.

Requirements

  • Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
  • Perform field engineering activities for piping and machinery systems
  • Create Design Change Notice packages for revised drawings or Corrective Action Notices to resolve issues
  • Document material non-conformances or other issues with purchased material and equipment for feedback through the purchasing department or partner
  • Review and approve production installation drawings, manufacturing drawings, and bills of material
  • Create and distribute engineering Work Packages according to assigned schedule
  • Assist with development and implementation of owner change order requests
  • Communicate with class, USCG, FDA and any other required regulatory agency to resolve any regulatory or inspection issues raised during construction of the vessel
  • Assist with the startup and commissioning of piping related systems
  • Participate in weekly “Prep Team” cross-functional meetings
  • Create and maintain equipment Installation Procedures to explain complex installation processes
  • Write Scope of Work documents to support tender of subcontracted labor
  • Maintain working knowledge and monitor development of classification and regulatory rules and requirements
