Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent
  • 2-4 years manual machining experience
  • 1-3 years CNC programming, operation, and setup experience
  • Experience in precision machining using manual machines such as threading, boring, and grooving
  • Competencies in material handling equipment, cranes, and lifting equipment
  • Ability to read and apply mathematics to work from engineering drawings and schematics
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of electricity
  • Ability to operate precision instruments and lifting equipment
  • Mathematics skills including proficiency in subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally in the English language
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve to resolve technical and interpersonal issues
  • Ability to work within a team and maintain a good attendance record
  • Ability to run key machines within areas of responsibility
  • Strong experience using machining centers in a job shop environment
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, setup sheets, etc.
  • Able to be forklift certified; Able to be Hazmat certified; Able to operate overhead cranes/hoists
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading, shop math, and GD&T
