Job Description
Machinist II position responsible for setting up and operating manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to create production tooling.

Requirements

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools
  • Operate conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other measuring devices
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and meet quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, material inconsistencies, and programming errors
  • Maintain accurate production records, including job travelers, inspection reports, and equipment logs
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure safe, reliable operation
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes
  • Comply with all safety standards, company policies, and ISO/AS quality requirements
