Job Description
Mail Room-Maintenance Mechanic responsible for performing daily inspections, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment. On-Call assignment required.

Requirements

  • Five years of work experience in maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment
  • Ability to be On-Call during an off-duty period
  • Knowledge of safety procedures required in maintenance and repair work
  • Skill in using tools and equipment in maintenance and repair work
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to install, maintain and repair electric motors, generators and other mechanical equipment
  • Ability to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to operate automobiles
  • Ability to bend and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb to install/repair equipment
  • Skills working with a personal computer
