Role OverviewThe State of Connecticut, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Maintainer to join our team within the Physical Plant. The Maintainer will perform basic tasks of an unskilled nature in one or several areas, including building and equipment maintenance, grounds care, food services, and operation of trucks.
What You Will Do
The Maintainer will perform tasks such as keeping simple records, preparing reports, performing preventive maintenance, and operating hand and small power equipment. They will also assist skilled workers, act as a helper to a higher grade Maintainer, and perform semi-skilled tasks in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, electrical work, and other trades.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing services for a facility that operates 24/7/365, working in a healthcare environment, and performing custodial duties.
