Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant role carries out general/preventive Maintenance and Housekeeping responsibilities within Residential Safe Havens and Transitional Housing Program, performing heavy janitorial duties, upkeep of facilities and grounds, and assisting with large annual cleaning assignments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent
  • Previous experience in general and preventative light Maintenance
  • Previous experience janitorial and/or housekeeping (experience in a residential setting, strongly preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License & passing of MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record Search)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
  • The ability to read, understand and communicate in English
  • Demonstrated commitment to service of others is required
  • Bilingualism or conversational in language in addition to English is strongly preferred.
