Job Description
Role Overview

Works under limited supervision to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, boiler, and HVAC equipment across campus. Provides assistance with preventative maintenance systems and special projects. Supports other areas of the Maintenance/Engineering department as needed.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoots and repairs plumbing and electrical equipment, assists with preventative maintenance program, ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, and rotates on weekend and night call-back rotation list.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires ability to use test equipment and hand tools, read blueprints and schematics, perform troubleshooting techniques, and communicate effectively. Must have universal EPA certification and HVAC qualification, and 3-5 years of experience in general building maintenance.

Requirements

  • Ability to use test equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Universal EPA certification and HVAC qualification
  • Three to five years' experience in general building maintenance, wiring, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
  • CFC certification from an approved agency
  • Electrical, mechanical, plumbing certification preferred
