Role Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic Class III repairs and maintains electric and propane forklifts and building equipment. Essential duties include assisting in the safe operation, repair, upkeep, and daily monitoring of building related infrastructures, and assisting in repairs and regular maintenance of dock doors, dock plate, electrical and propane forklifts, and other equipment.

What You Will Do

You will follow manuals and use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of electrical, power transmission, brake, and other mechanical systems. You will assist in the safe operation, repair, upkeep, and daily monitoring of building related infrastructures, and assist in repairs and regular maintenance of dock doors, dock plate, electrical and propane forklifts, and other equipment.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You must be able to work weekends varying shifts, and have strong communication skills. You must own your own tools, and pass a written and practical exam. You will be working in a warehouse environment, and must be able to read, write, and perform basic math functions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work weekends varying shifts
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • High school diploma; GED recommended but not required
  • Electrical and/or plumbing license, HVAC certification/schooling, Building Code knowledge, and Welding certification preferred
  • Must pass written and practical exam
