Role OverviewThe Maintenance Equipment Operator II operates heavy or specialized equipment used in excavating, grading, and other activities to construct, maintain, and/or repair roadsides, parks, and other projects. This role is part of the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Division of Water Supply Protection.
What You Will Do
Maintains roads, parking lots, fields, and forest through the operation and transportation of heavy or specialized equipment. Operates equipment such as road graders, heavy and light trucks, front-end loaders, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and farm tractors.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques used in the use, care, and maintenance of heavy and specialized road and logging equipment. The ideal candidate will have skill in the operation of equipment assigned and the operation of a wide variety of heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Massachusetts CDL A or CDL B license
- 2A Massachusetts Hoisting license
- MA 4G Hoisting License
