Role OverviewWork independently to maintain the Greenhouse, Warehouses, and Other Structures in the best possible condition. The goal is to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively while possessing the ability to use common sense. Someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in and help wherever necessary.
What You Will Do
Perform duties with hand and power tools, including framing squares, levels, power saws, and drills. Install electrical components, build and frame buildings/structures, and connect pipe pieces. Perform boiler mechanical functions, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be experienced in all phases of boiler mechanical functions, have intermediate welding experience, and be able to use measuring tools like rulers, tapes, squares, and power tools.
Requirements
- 1 year in general construction field
- minimum 3-5 years in greenhouse maintenance field
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Ability to install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain a variety of production and building equipment
- Intermediate welding experience in stick and wire feed welders
- Ability to read and write
- Employee must be able to follow a series of directions
- Able to follow complex instructions
- Capable of performing routine math calculations, including percentages and fractions
- Must be detail oriented and thorough in their work

- Complete jobs in an efficient and safe manner
- Should be able to follow oral or written instructions

- Safety/OSHA knowledge
- Assist with all safety related issues
- Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to minimize equipment downtime
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment
- Keep accurate work records and turn in paperwork daily or as required
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, as well as parts invoices that were required for the repairs
- Ability to meet tight schedules
- Able to drive a tractor, forklift, aerial equipment, and trucks
- Ability to quickly address critical and urgent situations in a timely and consistent manner
