Role OverviewThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for supervising the maintenance staff, implementing and evaluating preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and safety inspections. The role involves evaluating and correcting mechanical and building problems, providing direction and leadership to the maintenance crew, and controlling scheduling. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for training new personnel on Company safety procedures and safe operating standards in accordance with OSHA.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager include evaluating and correcting mechanical and building problems, implementing and evaluating preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and safety inspections. The role also involves providing direction and leadership to the maintenance crew, controlling scheduling, and training new personnel on Company safety procedures and safe operating standards.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be a fit for this role, you should have demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures, as well as experience with computer maintenance programs and MS Word and MS Excel. Prior rendering experience and management experience in an agricultural business are preferred. Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training/vocational school
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures
- Experience with computer maintenance programs and with MS Word and MS Excel
