Role Overview

The incumbent assigned to this position is responsible for maintaining the vehicles, heavy maintenance equipment, and golf carts. The work may require bending, squatting or standing for extended periods and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Repair automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other automotive equipment. Adjust, repair or replace clutches, generators, alternators, ignition systems, radiators, headlights and other automotive parts and equipment. Inspect to ensure proper functioning of all vehicles and automotive equipment periodically. Perform automotive detailing. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure all work areas are clean and free of any hazardous conditions.

What You Will Do

Perform preventative maintenance on golf carts, tractors and lawn mowers. Change belts and blades and ensure the mower decks are operational and hazard free. Assist with relocation of residents' belongings as needed and movement of furniture/equipment at Tacachale

Requirements

  • A valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Corrective Lenses Restricted license are acceptable provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating a state vehicle.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation.
