Role OverviewThis is a highly customer service oriented position in which employees should strive to exceed customer expectations. Perform a variety of work in the maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance of buildings and machinery/equipment including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting tasks.
What You Will Do
Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be a problem solver and operate according to safety regulations on campus. Must have general knowledge of campus procedures for emergency situations. Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
- Valid NYS driver's license with a driving record acceptable to meet the University insurance standards
