Job Description
Role Overview

Responsible for maintaining equipment on utility Steam Turbines and Generators, including continuous monitoring and understanding of the equipment's normal operating parameters & limits. Utilize maintenance skills to perform repairs and overhauls of plant equipment. Troubleshooting faulty equipment, assisting in job planning and cost evaluation.

What You Will Do

Perform maintenance functions on equipment throughout the facility, including rotating equipment, manual and control valves, understanding power plant systems, starting and stopping of equipment, isolating and restoring equipment for maintenance following a Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedure and monitoring boiler water chemistry equipment.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have knowledge of the elementary principles of mechanical measuring devices, instruments, controls, and regulating devices as used in steam electric plants, and the principles of operation and function of steam boilers, turbo-generators, pumps, heaters, steam traps, piping systems, pressure and level regulators and their controls, and auxiliary systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • 2-year technical school degree with emphasis on ICE Technician skills or equivalent work experience
  • MO Helper I - MO: 0 – 2 years of experience in Operations or similar field
  • OT: 5+ years of experience as a MO or equivalent process operator experience
  • Successful completion of the EEI POSS/MASS test
