Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks a Maintenance Repair Worker 3 to perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work, including electrical, carpentry, grounds keeping, and plumbing tasks. The successful candidate will work with inmates and other staff to maintain a safe and secure correctional environment. The position requires 12 months of training or experience in maintenance repair, as well as a valid commercial driver's license.

Requirements

  • Serves as lead worker over inmates or other assigned staff in performance of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work
  • Performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair of equipment, including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing tasks
  • Performs interior custodial duties, including mopping, sweeping, and waxing floors
  • Performs exterior grounds keeping duties, including removing snow and ice from sidewalks
