Role Overview

The Maintenance Repair Worker 3 serves as a lead worker over inmates or other assigned staff in performance of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work, including electrical, carpentry, grounds keeping, and plumbing. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs, inspecting buildings and equipment, and ensuring secure maintenance of tools. The worker must also control and restrict inmate movement, conduct searches, and respond to emergencies.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Maintenance Repair Worker 3 include performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work, performing interior and exterior custodial duties, and ensuring the secure maintenance of tools. The worker must also assist in related job crafts, control and restrict inmate movement, and conduct searches.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone with formal education in arithmetic and 12 months of training or experience in maintenance repair, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry.
