Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker 3 to perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair work, including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs. The successful candidate will work in a safe, secure, and humane correctional environment and will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
What You Will Do
The Maintenance Repair Worker 3 will perform a variety of tasks, including inspecting buildings and equipment for needed repairs or replacements, performing systematic and routine preventive maintenance, and operating machine tools and welding equipment. The role also involves ensuring secure maintenance of tools and completing tool counts and inventories.

Requirements
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary
- 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in maintenance repair (e.g., basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment)
- Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code
