Role OverviewThe Maintenance Section Assistant supports the Maintenance Section Supervisor in overseeing work completed by crews and contractors to provide a safe driving thoroughfare within a designated geographical area. The role involves leading daily operations, responding to emergency notifications, and handling assignments independently while ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality.
What You Will Do
Essential duties include assisting in budget preparation, issuing driveway permits, overseeing the work of the section and contracted crews, planning and implementing emergency response, handling public complaints, leading the work of transportation maintenance crews and support staff, maintaining records, and serving as a lead worker.
