Role OverviewThe Maintenance Section Assistant is a leadership position in the maintenance section, responsible for maintaining roads in Sterling and Glasscock Counties. The role involves coordinating equipment, materials, and personnel for roadway maintenance projects, working closely with the maintenance section supervisor, and ensuring all projects follow established safety guidelines.
What You Will Do
The Maintenance Section Assistant will assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing emergency response to inclement weather, accidents, and hazardous spills affecting area roadways. They will also inspect road conditions, work-in-progress, and work completed by crews and contractors, and maintain records on materials, supplies, and personnel.

Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent in general education
- 6 years of experience in roadway maintenance or construction related work
- Valid driver's license
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Class N (tanker) endorsement and removal of transmission restriction within 60 calendar days from date of employment
