Role OverviewPerform a variety of repairs and installations to school facilities, identify and resolve maintenance repair problems, and maintain accurate records for labor, materials, and work orders.
What You Will Do
Measure, cut, and shape materials, construct and use scaffolding, and operate hand and power tools and equipment. Maintain inventory of assigned tools and equipment, and communicate effectively with staff and auxiliary services personnel.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have general knowledge of various types of paints, solvents, primers, stains, and other industry coatings, and be able to use paint spray equipment, power equipment, or hand application. Must also be able to perform responsibilities under general supervision and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License.
Requirements
- Accredited High School Diploma or USA equivalency
- Three (3) years of work experience in four different crafts
- One (1) year of experience in carpentry, flooring, ceiling repair, and painting
- Demonstrated general knowledge of various types of interior and exterior paints, solvents, primers, stains, and other industry coatings
- Must pass physical in order to wear half face negative pressure respirator
- Must be clean-shaven at all times - Only if certified to wear respirator
- Must pass a Dallas ISD random drug test
