Job Description
This is a highly technical position responsible for the repair, maintenance, modification, and installation of all the high voltage underground/overhead electrical distribution systems and security and street lighting on the LSU-Baton Rouge campus and all ancillary campus locations.

Requirements

  • Supervises and assists with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the campus electrical 4160V and 13.8kV distribution systems.
  • Apply the necessary technical skills and system knowledge to troubleshoot electrical failures and provide and execute solutions aimed at eliminating the root cause of those problems.
  • Supervises and assists with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of street and security lighting systems throughout campus.
  • Coordinates the preventative maintenance program for the high voltage switch gear, transformers, sectionalizers, etc.
  • Coordinates project construction and installation work with contractors to provide continuous operational services and functions for campus buildings.
