Role Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on maintenance person responsible for managing the maintenance department, performing various maintenance tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness and marketability of the property. The role requires a focus on customer service, budget management, and cost-saving measures. The Maintenance Supervisor will work under the direction of the Community Manager and supervise on-site maintenance staff.

The Maintenance Supervisor will participate in company training classes, organize and prioritize service requests, inspect grounds and buildings, oversee turnkey operations, and perform various maintenance tasks. The role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Four years minimum experience as supervisor in community management maintenance, other building maintenance or related field
  • Ability to fluently read and write English
  • Accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and use all on-site resident management software functions
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • EPA certification Type I and II
  • Pest Control certification (if performed in-house)
  • Own set of basic hand tools
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism
  • Well organized, detail oriented, efficient
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to meet deadlines which may include late hours and weekend as needed
