Role Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents, future residents, visitors, and team members. They collaborate closely with the Community Manager and Maintenance Technicians to ensure that all aspects of the community are well-maintained. The Maintenance Supervisor anticipates, identifies, and corrects problems affecting the community, and implements procedures to prevent such issues.

What You Will Do

The Maintenance Supervisor will perform routine maintenance work orders, schedule team members, ensure OSHA and safety standards are followed, maintain accurate records, and diagnose and perform maintenance/repairs. They will also interface with contractors and vendors, utilize maintenance management systems, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Community Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience leading and managing others, general knowledge of all things pertaining to property maintenance, and proficiency in using computers and various software programs. You will also need to be skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools, knowledgeable of pertinent laws, and certified as a Pool Operator and Universal Freon License holder.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in property maintenance or an equivalent field
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call hours
  • Ability to walk the property, climb stairs, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, reach, and carry supplies
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
