Role OverviewThe Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance of vehicles serviced by the facility, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local guidelines and requirements. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs, and maintaining parts inventory. The supervisor will also represent the maintenance activity at the local level, interacting with other operations functions, and supervising maintenance staff.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, performing vehicle repairs, overseeing the use of EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) ERP application, and maintaining parts inventory. The supervisor will also participate in implementing preventive maintenance and completing unscheduled repairs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a fleet supervisor in a diesel shop with heavy/med duty fleets, and a minimum of 5 years of auto/truck or bus mechanical repair experience. ASE certification is desirable but not required. The candidate should be computer proficient, have experience with compliance, and possess strong decision-making skills.
Requirements
- 5 years of fleet Supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with Heavy/Med duty fleets
- Minimum of five years Auto / Truck or Bus mechanical repair experience
- Experience with Compliance with the local applicable DOT compliance of Med / Heavy Trucks
- Prefer ASE Certification as a Master Automotive Technician and/or a Master Truck Technician
- Must be computer proficient
- Strong experience with computerized diagnostics
- Ability to use good judgment and Decision Making skills
- Background in planning and scheduling maintenance repairs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
- Supervisor experience in purchasing, and budget management experience
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules
