Role OverviewThe Helena Maintenance Team Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the Parks and Outdoor Recreation Division as part of the Region 4 maintenance team. Working closely with the Region 4 Maintenance Manager, Stewardship Bureau Chief, and regional staff, this position identifies maintenance needs, develops workflows for routine tasks, and helps set priorities for major maintenance projects in the Helena area.
What You Will Do
The supervisor provides direct oversight of Maintenance Worker I and II staff and ensures accurate and consistent record keeping of maintenance activities. The supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, overseeing, and inspecting maintenance work across a wide range of facilities and infrastructure.

Requirements
- Understanding of weed management methods (chemical, biological, and mechanical)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, and ServiceNow
- Working knowledge of general maintenance and construction practices, including carpentry, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and engine repair
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, traffic regulations, PPE use, proper towing procedures, and the ability to train staff accordingly
- Experience using and maintaining a range of tools and heavy/light construction equipment, along with the ability to train staff in equipment operation
- Class 4 AB State of Montana Certification for water and waste-water operators, Basic First Aid/CPR certification, and Government Pesticide Applicator’s license are required for this position
