Job Description
Responsible for maintaining Hotel facilities in safe operating conditions through maintaining a preventive maintenance program, documenting information, and resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to four years of prior job-related experience in one or more of the building trades
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License and be insurable through our insurance carrier
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and/or schematics
  • Ability to estimate time requirements of jobs and prioritize appropriately
  • Knowledge of methods and use of materials, tools, and equipment used in crafts, appropriate building codes, and standards for safe use of equipment
  • Ability to understand and use Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Ability to work well and tactfully with both internal and external guests and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently on a team with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed
