Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician I reports to a Maintenance Supervisor for either Meat or Spread production and is responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance of production equipment and rooms. The role requires the ability to move between both production areas to assist the broader Maintenance team to ensure minimal down time for production.

What You Will Do

Preventative and predictive maintenance of production equipment, diagnosis and repair of malfunctioning production equipment, and assisting Supervisor in planning and maintaining Break Down and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of prior related production and equipment maintenance experience, working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, mechanical and preventative maintenance, and ability to troubleshoot, identify, and correct routine maintenance and repair problems.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of prior related production and equipment maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, mechanical and preventative maintenance
  • Engineering or related knowledge, preferred
  • Vocational School/Degree in HVAC, EPA, or Engineering, preferred
  • Ability to understand occupational hazards and utilize standard safety practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and correct routine maintenance and repair problems
