Job Description
This position is a Maintenance Technician in an egg production and processing facility. The purpose of this position is to complete minor to major equipment repairs during non-production and production times of the day.

Requirements

  • Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Dismantle machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts to conduct repairs
  • Maintain food processing equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Document all maintenance performed including preventative maintenance
  • Identify any required parts needed and notify supervisor
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment
  • Repair electrical equipment
  • Maintain and repair electronic, Frequency drives/inverters
  • Perform cost justification of equipment and process changes
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
  • Complete scheduled/unscheduled work orders and thoroughly documents work performed for tracking in Preventive Maintenance programs
  • Operate and maintain boiler
  • Maintain records for boiler and monitors chemical usage
  • Operate and maintain ammonia/glycol refrigeration
