Job Description
The multi-craft maintenance technician is responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on AC/DC motors, pumps, sumps, gearboxes, hydraulic units, analog/digital drives, lift trucks, machinery and industrial equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to safely disassemble equipment, recommend replacement parts and reassemble equipment; makes sound judgments on when to replace parts
  • Proven experience in hydraulics and pneumatics; understanding fluid power
  • Welding and ability to fabricate machine parts from drawings for equipment repairs preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) and electrical equipment (amp meter, ohmmeter, megger, voltmeter and other basic electrical tools)
  • Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, schematics, ladder logic and electrical specifications
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical standards and codes with skills installing single and three phase wiring
  • Understand AC, DC and variable frequency drives and how each functions; troubleshoots to determine root cause of malfunction.
  • Sound Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) knowledge; ability to troubleshoot, create and modify programs preferred
  • Capable of performing replacement drive installations
  • Ability to understand and complete Auto CAD drawings a plus
  • Have an understanding of Reliability Principles Knowledge of Predictive Technology and Measures
  • Participate in Failure Reporting and Root Cause Analysis
