Job Description
Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Maintenance technician on 3rd Shift, at its Franklin Park location. The Maintenance Technician works independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive and routine maintenance tasks to ensure electrical equipment and controls are fully operational and safe.
 
Pay Range:  $33.00 to $35.00 per hour
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform needed maintenance, repair or rebuild of electrical equipment/motors and direct support of production operating needs.
Evaluate electrical equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur, or improvements are needed
Participate in planning activities and manage various plant utilities that can include chiller, air compressor, security system & fire protection system.
Complete process and preventive maintenance work orders. Capture and communicate associated data
Maintain plant electrical systems on equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, motors, pneumatics, automated controls and pumps
Troubleshoot electrical issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment.
Install and monitor current monitoring systems
Calibrate controls instrumentation
Maintain and enhance electrical and PLC troubleshooting
Install, maintain, repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools and other metal working equipment
Assist with fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment
Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)
Work with mechanical maintenance technicians to help develop their electrical skills
As directed execute projects on an as needed basis
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred
Experience working as a electrical technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
Technical military specialties considered

Working Conditions:

Activities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following.

Temperatures exposed to both Ambient/outside temperatures.
Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
Noise of industrial machinery


Typically, 40 hour per week with overtime as required
Days/shift vary based on facility need
Fast paced 24/7 operation
