Maintenance Technician - Part Time

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values. This role is part-time, working Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Maintenance Technician maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards. The role requires basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, as well as the ability to assist with apartment turnovers and maintain grounds.

What You Will Do

The Maintenance Technician will perform tasks such as maintaining grounds, including pool and spa if applicable, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests. They will also assist with apartment turnovers, including painting, carpet cleaning, and pressure washing. The role requires cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have six months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping, and a strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs. They will possess excellent customer service skills, written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers
• Maintain grounds, including pool and spa if applicable
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
