Role OverviewWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment. The successful candidate will work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. They will also act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
What You Will Do
The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and/or repairs on equipment, follow safety procedures, and maintain high-quality standards. They will also complete work orders in a timely manner, utilize continuous improvement mindset, and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and be able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and adapt to change effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from trade school or technical school preferred
- 2 to 4 years of maintenance experience
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- Certification and/or License may be required
- Knowledge of charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action
- Ability to use a variety of maintenance tools, hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
- Ability to perform maintenance activities/repairs independently and assist on more complicated repairs
- Ability to perform minor to mid-sized projects from planning to installation
- Ability to present options and ideas to current processes or procedures
- Ability to adapt and manage to change effectively
- Ability to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to diagnose and take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
