Role OverviewAs a Fleet Technician I, you'll handle advanced diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on school bus fleet vehicles to ensure routes leave safe and on time. You'll work across various systems, including preventive maintenance, DOT/state inspections, and air/hydraulic braking. You'll work with the Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor to identify and complete repairs.
What You Will Do
Your duties will include diagnosing and repairing automotive and diesel systems, performing engine adjustments and rebuilds, completing required safety inspections, and accurately logging labor hours and parts used. You'll also respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs when needed.

Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repair experience
- Knowledgeable in the use of diagnostic equipment
- Advanced technical knowledge of major vehicle components
- Ability to use good judgment and sound decision-making skills
- High school graduate or equivalent education and/or training and experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred)
