Role OverviewThe Maintenance Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting and repairs on injection and compression molding equipment, secondary and conveyance equipment, and automation equipment in a high-speed and controlled manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, perform setups, changeovers, adjustments, preventative maintenance, repair and operations of various types of equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements
- Proficiently operate molding machines, conveyance equipment, robots and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical malfunctions
- Interact with OEM vendors to identify parts, obtain quotes, and submits requisitions
- Perform adjustments and setups on a variety of equipment
- Repair and maintain electrical controls on equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools
- Perform all required necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Check and maintain quality of product being produced
- Actively participate on teams and offer suggestions for improvement
- Follow all 5S guidelines
- Strictly adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out policy
- Upload programs to controls in the events of program loss or CPU replacement
- Repair robot arms and controls
- Calibrate and adjust robot pick and place locations if needed
- Conduct TPM activities as required
- Input Maintenance work orders into the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM)
- Monitor processes, show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues
- Perform weekly, monthly and as required preventive maintenance (PM)
- Perform root cause analysis for safety, quality, and processing issues
- Suggest ways to improve the efficiency and safety of our work and environment
- Comply with all company policies
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, and outside technical support as needed
- Restore damaged or malfunctioning equipment to operation
- Minimizes down time by coordinating repairs with the Production Scheduler
- Maintains good communications with Production and Maintenance Departments
- Maintains ongoing list of projects with critical path timeline items with statuses and estimated completion dates
- Ensures the work is completed with technical excellence, and in an efficient and cost-effective fashion
- Technical and advanced troubleshooting resource for Level I Technicians
- In-depth working knowledge of common controls architecture including Keyence and SACMI Vision, PLC, HMI, Drive Controllers and Communication software
- Able to restore operating systems of common controls architecture, including Vision, Communication, PLC, HMI, and Drive Controller software
- Assist in developing machine and work cell reliability projects, conducts machine and equipment audits, compiles associated parts and task lists
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Assists other maintenance personnel as needed
