Role OverviewResponsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Participate in all types of maintenance projects, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds work. Perform repairs, janitorial assistance, and maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
What You Will Do
Perform electrical repairs, plumbing work, carpentry, and grounds work. Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning. Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. Be responsible for stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable. Must be able to read and write English. Must show basic understanding of math. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and reach heights of 8 feet with the aid of a ladder.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior maintenance experience or experience in related field
- Valid driver's license and insurability
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Basic understanding of math
