Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at Conexon, you will be responsible for maintaining existing plant, including preventative maintenance and emergency response to customer or plant outages. You will work on a team of people passionate about excellent service, meaningful work, and supporting the communities we serve. Conexon is a rapidly growing telecommunications company partnering with Rural Electric Cooperatives to design and deploy advanced fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks nationwide.

What You Will Do

Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining project schedules, communicating maintenance milestones, evaluating and improving maintenance specifications, and ensuring maintenance budget for Conexon project success. You will also assist the Maintenance manager and production coordinators with production tracking reports, assist trainees and other onsite maintenance personnel, and perform various tasks such as splicing fiber, testing continuity, and marking up maps.

Requirements

• Able and willing to travel, and work nights/weekends
• Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to walk long distances on a regular basis
• Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to X pounds
• Ability to bend stoop kneel Crouch or reach as required by job tasks etc.
