Role Overview

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing various repairs and maintenance tasks across residential or commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general upkeep. The role involves responding to resident service requests, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of the property. The technician will work on-call for emergencies and report to the property manager.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues, performing basic carpentry repairs, addressing appliance malfunctions, and conducting minor painting and touch-up work. The technician will also inspect building systems, maintain landscaping and grounds, and monitor and replace worn-out parts to prevent future breakdowns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • Proficient knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and carpentry practices
  • Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and find effective solutions
  • Comfortable with manual labor, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces
  • Valid Driver's License
