Job Description
Role Overview

This role is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic. The Maintenance Technician will install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special-purpose machines. They will also perform general repairs to plant structures and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.

What You Will Do

The Maintenance Technician will operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. They will test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with the Head Mechanic for approval and repair as needed.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational school certification, and mechanical aptitude. They will be skilled in the use of hand and power tools and have knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related fields. The candidate will also be able to lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 80lbs each and work under extreme conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / equivalent
  • Technical or vocational school certification
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related field
