Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant utilities and facility systems in a pharmaceutical GMP environment. This role ensures the reliable operation of plant utilities and critical utility systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems, Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam generation and distribution systems.

What You Will Do

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and critical GMP utility systems, diagnose machine failure, and implement effective repairs to eliminate root causes. Conduct troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous support to manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED (required)
  • Technical School (AS degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of facility maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other GMP-regulated industry
  • Formal training and working knowledge of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and troubleshooting
  • Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical GMP utilities including Reverse Osmosis systems, Water for Injection Systems, Pure Steam Systems
  • Experience supporting HVAC systems for cleanrooms
  • Working knowledge of installations and repairs to various distribution systems including but not limited to city water, process water, compressed air and gases, and steam and condensate
  • Strong working knowledge of plant utilities such as boilers, chillers, and air compressors
